Namaste
Welcome to My Website
My name is Jake Volk, and I'm a graduate student at the University of Northern Iowa. I'm working on my MA in English with an emphasis on the history of the book, book collecting, and special collections. My goal after completing this MA is to work on an MLIS focusing in academic librarianship and special collection librarianship.
In addition to my studies, I am the Assistant Editor for the North American Review, specifically working with authors in publishing their works in Open Space, NAR's online publication. While working for the NAR, I also work for Bike Tech in Cedar Falls by building, staging, selling, and servicing bikes and bike riders in the Cedar Valley area. Though my studies keep me locked inside reading and writing, I try to gain a little fresh air riding my bike.
I currently live in Cedar Falls with my beautiful partner and our three cats: Gaia, Orpheus, and Stella. Enjoy learning a wee bit about me, and I hope to hear from you!
Best regards,
Jake
